Tournament overview
BLAST SLAM VIII expands the Dota 2 series to 16 teams and runs from September 29 to October 11, 2026. The online group stage takes place from September 29 to October 3 before six teams travel to BLAST Arena Studios in Malta for the LAN finals from October 8 to 11.
The combined prize pool is $750,000, split between prize money and team earnings. A multi-stage format feeds into a best-of-five Grand Final, with the champion taking the largest share of the event payout.
The hybrid format gives the full field an online route into the deciding LAN weekend. Confirmed teams, match times and final standings will be added as BLAST releases the complete competition details.
