CCT Season 3 Global Finals 2026 was an eight-team Counter-Strike 2 LAN at the SAW Esports Arena in Vila Nova de Gaia from April 23 to 26. The double-elimination event distributed $31,000 to players and another $44,000 in club shares. For Monte, it also offered valuable Valve ranking points and a final test before PGL Astana and the IEM Cologne Major.
Monte opened with a 2-0 win over Betclic and then beat Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1. HEROIC stopped the run in the upper final, winning their first meeting 2-1, so Monte had to defeat NiP a second time in the lower final. That set up an immediate rematch with HEROIC in the best-of-five title series.
The final began with one of the wildest scorelines of the event: Monte won Nuke 13-0. They recovered from a 4-8 halftime deficit to take Dust2 13-9, lost Inferno 5-13, and then closed Ancient 13-10 for a 3-1 victory. Aurélien “afro” Drapier led the final with 68 kills, only 43 deaths and a 1.45 rating. His 1.33 rating across 15 maps made him the clear tournament MVP and turned Monte’s rematch into a story of immediate adaptation.
