Grand Buffalo Hold and Win connects a TRUEWAYS base game with two distinct bonus systems. Coin Respins collect sticky Fireballs and split positions with Lightning, while Free Spins add Wild multipliers. BGaming lists 96.70% RTP and high volatility; the Mega Jackpot also requires an unlock before a full-board condition can award it.

Released on April 21, 2026, Grand Buffalo Hold and Win uses prairie wildlife and a Western landscape around BGaming's TRUEWAYS mechanic. Its defining feature is the way the Coin Respin board can change: Lightning divides larger units into smaller positions, making additional room for value-bearing symbols. It is more useful to understand that transformation than to treat the slot as a generic buffalo-themed reel game.

The publisher specifies high volatility, 96.70% theoretical RTP and an overall maximum multiplier of 5,000x. A two-unit stake would therefore correspond to a ceiling of 10,000 units. This calculation does not imply a likely result or a published hit probability. RTP is a long-run mathematical measure, and a high-volatility session can end far below it.
Desktop and mobile versions are supported. The most useful indicators are the Scatter collection Badge, the current Coin Respin counter and the number of occupied positions. Each belongs to a different part of the rules.
Six or more Coin symbols, also called Fireballs, in the main game trigger Coin Respins. The triggering values stay fixed, and later Coins remain sticky too. The feature begins with three respins. Landing a Coin or Lightning resets the counter, while running out of respins or filling every position ends the round. The collected Coin values are added for the payout.

The initial size and number of units are inherited from the triggering spin. Lightning divides a medium or large unit into two, increasing the number of available cells. If Lightning appears in an already small cell, another eligible unit is selected and divided; its existing Coin is preserved in both resulting units. This makes the layout itself part of the feature's progression.
Mini and Major Jackpots are awarded through their corresponding Coins. Mega follows a stricter two-stage rule: first unlock it by completing the Scatter collection Badge, then fill all 48 positions with Coins in the bonus. Completing the Badge grants a chance to win Mega; it does not award the jackpot immediately. That distinction is central to reading the screen correctly.
Four, five or six Scatters start 12, 15 or 20 Free Spins. During the bonus, three, four, five or six Scatters add 5, 12, 15 or 20 spins respectively. The trigger and retrigger schedules therefore differ; three Scatters can extend an existing round even though the initial entry needs four.

Wilds appear on reels two through five and substitute for symbols in winning combinations. Inside Free Spins, each Wild carries a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier. BGaming states that the spin's Wild multipliers are added and the total is applied to its winning combinations. They should not be multiplied together as though this were a compound multiplier system.
Buy Bonus allows a direct purchase of Free Spins or Coin Respins at the price displayed by the game. The price changes with the bet. Chance x2 is a separate option that increases the stake and improves the chance of triggering either bonus; it is disabled when Buy Bonus is active. The label is not evidence that a bonus is guaranteed, and the purchase cost should be included in the session budget.
We see the strongest appeal in the contrast between the two features. Free Spins focuses on combinations and additive Wild multipliers, while Coin Respins focuses on holding values and expanding space. The collection Badge gives Mega an additional prerequisite, which adds structure but also another rule to remember. Players who want a single simple bonus may prefer a less layered game.
Use demo play to recognize a Lightning split and see how the respin counter resets. Set a fixed spending limit before money play and do not chase a completed Badge as though it creates a debt the game must pay. A jackpot unlock and a jackpot award are separate events.
