Before the cards are dealt, you choose one of three options:
Player
Banker
Tie
This is the only decision you make in the game.
Both Player and Banker receive two cards.
2–9 = Face value
10, Jack, Queen, King = 0
Ace = 1
If the total exceeds 9, only the last digit counts.
Example:
7 + 8 = 15 → counts as 5
9 + 6 = 15 → counts as 5
If either hand totals 8 or 9, it’s called a “Natural.”
No additional cards are drawn.
Highest total wins.
If there is no natural, a third card may be drawn.
Important:
You do NOT decide this.
The drawing rules are automatic and handled by the casino.
That’s why baccarat is clean, structured, and easy to follow.
